These paintings are a response to a very enjoyable evening where I stacked up plastic animals to create a series of mini-installations. They are an attempt to encapsulate and preserve a memory of this evening. The objects themselves are dotted about my apartment and even though the toys belong to my little nephews they are never touched by them. This alone is wonderfully interesting as they have somehow been elevated above being mere toys in the eyes of children.
